Advantages - When you enroll in an approved Defensive driving class, you:

  1. Refresh your driving knowledge.
  2. Can be eligible to reduce as many as 4 points off your New York driving record.
  3. As the principal operator, will receive a 10% reduction in the base rate of your automobile and motorcycle liability and collision insurance premiums each year for three years.

Eligibility - The course is open to BNL, BSA and DOE employees, BNL facility-users, contractors and other guests, and their family members. For more information, email Sarah Wiley or call 344-4207.

Cost - $38 per person.

How to Register: Pre-registration is required as seating is limited - please call Ed Sierra at 821-1013 and leave a voicemail with your telephone number for a return call.

Additional GIS Registration for Non-U.S. Citizens: If you are a Non-U.S. Citizen not currently in possession of a valid BNL photo ID badge, you must complete a Guest Registration Form in order to attend this on-site course. Due to a required review process which will take about three weeks, ALL Foreign National attendees must be registered and approved in the BNL Guest Information System (GIS) before they will be allowed access to the site.
