SUMMER HOMES PROGRAM
Summer homes, also referred to as recreation residences, have a long tradition on the Idaho Panhandle National Forests. Some of these homes date back to the early 1900's. Currently there are 138 recreation residences on the IPNF, most of which are located on our Priest Lake District. This page provides links pertinent to the recreation residence program on the IPNF.
Following is a 1932 brochure describing how to obtain permits for summer homes in Oregon and Washington. The recreation residence program was advertised similarly across the nation in the early days: Top of the page Last updated: 08/12/08 |
