• "Change a Light" to Save on Electric Bills MPSC encourages electric customers to reduce their electric bills by switching to energy efficient lighting products that can result in big savings.
| • MPSC Releases Winter Energy Appraisal The MPSC today released the "Michigan Energy Appraisal: Winter 2008-2009."; The appraisal, published since 1978, reviews the projected prices and availability of energy in Michigan over the summer months.
| • Be Winter Wise The MPSC announces its "BeWinterWise" campaign to highlight the increase in natural gas prices, what customers can do to lower their bills, and financial assistance available to those who qualify.
| • Michigan Energy Overview Given the focus on energy today, this report explores the state's energy resources and shows energy use by source, sector and how consumption has grown over time. It also shows how much Michigan residents and businesses spend on energy which in 2007 totaled approximately $37 billion.
| • 2008 MPSC Consumer Forums The MPSC announces its schedule of seven Consumer Forums to be held in Michigan cities this October. The forums are designed to give consumers the latest information on electric and natural gas rates for the winter and the status of local and long distance telephone service.
