The Office of Workforce Security is responsible for;

Implementing a national workforce system that provides workers with the information, advice, job search assistance, income maintenance, and training to get and keep good jobs and providing employers with skilled workers.

Managing strategically in order to ensure high performance, greater public accountability, service quality, and customer satisfaction.

Working collaboratively with partners and stakeholders in business, labor, and local governments by:

Providing oversight, policy guidance, and technical assistance for the federal-state unemployment compensation system and providing budget and legislative support to unemployment compensation and one-stop public employment service systems.
