NLM Wednesday Night Film Series

The NLM is sponsoring a free Wednesday night film series as an offshoot of its exhibit, "The Once and Future Web." The series, which runs from April 3 to May 15, offers a mixture of popular films that explore the impact of the telegraph, computers and the Internet on our society and culture. Guest speakers, including museum curators and professors of history, law, media, and women's studies, will introduce the movie and take questions at the end. All movies will be shown with closed captions and a sign-language interpreter will be available for the introductions and discussions. The films will be shown in the Lister Hill Center auditorium, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Seating is available on a first-come-first-served basis.

The list of films and speakers is on the Web at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/onceandfutureweb/upcomingevents/.
