How much of the Child Care and Development Fund can be spent on Administrative Costs?
  Question

How much of the Child Care and Development Fund can be spent on Administrative Costs?

  Answer

States may use a portion of CCDF funds to perform administrative tasks and responsibilities associated with providing child care assistance to eligible families.  These ‘administrative costs’ are capped at 5 percent of the total CCDF (excluding MOE). The cap is based on the total aggregate funds expended by the Lead Agency from each fiscal year’s allotment.

See regulations at 45 CFR Parts 98 and 99 for CCDF Rules
