What’s New

NACDD Awards Arthritis Integrated Dissemination Project Grants

The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) recently awarded Arthritis Integrated Dissemination Project Grant funding to nine state health departments. The states that will receive this grant funding are Alaska, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, and New York. Arthritis Foundation Life Improvement Series Partnerships: Step-by-Step Guide

The Arthritis Foundation Life Improvement Series Partnerships: Step-by-Step Guide was created as part of an Infrastructure Improvement Project, a collaborative effort between the Arthritis Foundation (AF) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Arthritis Program, to improve the delivery of and expand the reach of evidence-based AF interventions. Note: A password if required to view the guide online.* If you do not have a username and password there is a link for requesting one (contacting the Web site's online administrator).

Save the Date

The 2008 Arthritis Grantee meeting will be held at the Tom Harkin Global Communications Center in Atlanta. Watch for further information about this meeting. Registration* for the upcoming Arthritis Grantees meeting is now open at a cost of $250.  The conference will open on Monday, September 15, 2008 at 1:00 pm and end on Wednesday, September 17th at 4:00 pm. States who are not funded through CDC or through NACDD are welcome and encouraged to attend.

A block of rooms is reserved at the Marriott Century Center (http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/atlne-atlanta-marriott-century-center/?groupCode=NARNARA&app=resvlink) with a room rate of $129 per night. Reservations must be made before September 1, 2008.
