Site: Potable Water-DECK 5 MAIN GALLEY PORTSIDE BEVERAGE PANTRY
Violation: THE CONTINUOUS PRESSURE BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICE ON THE COFFEE MACHINE WAS LEAKING INDICATING A FAILED INTERNAL SEAL.
Recommendation:Ensure that backflow preventers are maintained in good repair.
Site: Potable Water-CROSS-CONNECTION CONTROL PROGRAM
Violation: AIR-GAPS INSTALLED IN EQUIPMENT, SUCH AS DISHWASHERS AND CHEMICAL DISPENSER STATIONS ARE NOT LISTED IN THE CROSS-CONNECTION CONTROL PROGRAM. ALL OTHER MECHANICAL DEVICES APPEAR TO BE LISTED IN THE PROGRAM. THIS IS A NEW REQUIREMENT IN THE 2005 VSP OPERATIONS MANUAL
Recommendation:Ensure that the cross-connection control program includes at minimum: a complete listing of cross-connections and the backflow prevention method/device for each, so that there is a match to the plumbing system component and location, and an inspection frequency. Ensure that air-gaps are include din the listing.
