Performance Review of the Social Security Administration's National Computer Center and Security West Building Guard Service Contract (Limited Distribution) (A-15-06-16139)

Our objective was to determine if the contractor complied with the contract terms and applicable regulations and that Social Security Administration (SSA) personnel were properly monitoring the contract.

Adequate and consistent oversight over the security guard service is an essential component of successful contract performance. The project officer for this contract provided the necessary oversight to ensure a fully qualified guard staff was present for duty. Although some guards were not performing their duties as stated in the contract, SSA and the contractor took immediate corrective actions. We concur with their actions and as such have no recommendations at this time.
