Conference on the Direction of Fertility in the United States - October 2 - 3, 2001
- Conference participants discussed the stability of U.S. fertility and aspects
that might affect fertility projections for the U.S. such as race, ethnicity,
and nativity. The conference was hosted by the Census Bureau and the Council
of Professional Associations on Federal Statistics (COPAFS). Conference

- Census Bureau staff, representatives from the Federal State Cooperative for
Population Estimates, and other experts met to discuss methods of, approaches
