Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) currently has three projects under way in this area.

  • Advanced materials for assurance of energy infrastructure
  • Low-cost, robust threat aware wireless sensor network for assuring the nation's energy infrastructure
  • Geographic information system that includes energy emergency visualization capabilities, software tools and data, capabilities, and training

On behalf of DOE's Office of Electricity Delivery & Energy Reliability (OE), ORNL contributed to the development and review of the National Critical Infrastructure Protection R&D Plan
