Welcome to the BioSense Training Page

The BioSense Training Program offers a range of opportunities for users. Training and materials include live webinars, tip sheets, user manuals, and video simulations.


Learning Paths:

Maximize your learning by determining your learning path below. Select training that is designed for your specific user level.

  • New/Potential User:
    • I have limited/no knowledge of BioSense
  • Intermediate User:
    • I can use the basic features of the application independently
  • Advanced User:
    • I have consistently used BioSense for some time

BioSense Administrators:

A BioSense Administrator (BA) is the person at the hospital/public health site responsible for coordinating system access to users. Below is a list of resources:

  • Newly assigned BioSense Administrator
    • Recommended training: BioSense 101 module and user manual

BioSense Application Webinars

Title: BioSense 101: The Foundation
Intended Audience:
New/Potential Users
Description:
Learn about the history of BioSense, the vision of the program as we move forward, and steps to access the BioSense application. An overview of the BioIntelligence Center (BIC) functions will also be provided.

Title: BioSense Application
Intended Audience: New/Intermediate Users
Description:
This training includes an overview of the BioSense system and its functionalities, and the tools users need to begin monitoring the data.
Occurs: 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 1:00 pm

Special Topics in BioSense Webinars

Title: Special Topics (Influenza Module, Patient Traceback, Time Series)
Intended Audience: All User Levels
Description: An interactive session to learn how to use specific application features or recent enhancements.
