Berries used to make a lemonade-like beverage by the Okanagan-Colville, Ojibwa, and Meskwaki. Juice from berries used as a stain by the Thompson. Roots used to make yellow or orange dye by the Kiowa, Meskwaki, Omaha, Plains Indian, and Winnebago.
