PREPAID HEALTH CARE ADVISORY COUNCIL MEMBERS
 Bill Brown has been a member of the Hawaii
Prepaid Health Care Advisory
Council since
1987. Mr. Brown earned a Masters degree from
Pace University
in New York and his Bachelor's
of Arts degree from Tufts University in Boston.
Mr. Brown is currently the Director of Human
Resources for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA). He is responsible for all human resource
aspects of OHA including staffing,
organizational effectiveness, labor and employee relations, compensation
and benefits, as well as coordination and communication of strategic and
operational planning.
Mr. Brown has been involved with employee and employer health care issues
in Hawaii for over 25 years. He is the former chair of the Hawaii Business
Health Council. During his career, he has introduced innovative approaches
to health care benefit plans, employee wellness and communication of health
issues in the workplace. Mr. Brown has made a positive impact on the health
status of employees and their dependents while balancing the need for businesses
to control the costs associated with providing health benefit plans in Hawaii.
