Master Interpretive Plan

Customer: Allegheny NF (Region 9)
Description: A team of Forest and District recreation staff and archeologists spearheaded the plan. Input was gathered at two public meetings.  Resource staff inventoried and evaluated existing interpretive efforts and identified and evaluated proposed interpretive sites.  A theme and sub-themes were developed based on the articulated goals and objectives.

These led to recommendations for projects (including interpretation) that were prioritized into an action plan with cost estimate.

Description: Written concurrently with CDNST Design Guidelines, this plan guides the development and implementation of information, orientation and interpretation for the CDNST. It includes interpretive goals, objectives, themes, exhibit recommendations, and design guidelines for interpretive efforts associated with the trail.
This Interpretive Plan was written concurrently with CDNST Design Guidelines.

Description: The CDNST Design Guidelines prioritize all existing and proposed trailheads along the CDNST into three levels. Each level is described in terms of design guidelines for amenities, trailhead structures, and information/interpretation. Drawings are primarily relative to Level 1 trailheads.
