San Juan Interagency Hotshots, 2007.
In May 2007, our crew was sent to Greensburg, Kansas to assist with tornado-recovery efforts. While there, eleven of us had the opportunity to participate in a pilot leadership training program with the Boise Incident Management Team. This training allowed us to assist IMT staff with daily operations and gain working knowledge in the logistics, planning, safety, medical, public information, and finance functions.
