STATEMENT BY COMMERCE SECRETARY DON EVANS ON APPOINTMENT OF TWO ASSISTANT SECRETARIES TO DEFEND NATIONAL SECURITY

“I am pleased to announce the addition of two new assistant secretaries to the Commerce team. Both Peter and Julie will play key roles in administering and enforcing U.S. export controls and will ensure that America’s economic and national security interests are vigorously promoted and defended.”
