SEC. EVANS AND MEXICAN MINISTER CANALES TO VISIT SAN FRANCISCO BUSINESS
Officials to Discuss Strength of U.S.-Mexican Relationship

U.S. Secretary of Commerce Don Evans and Mexico’s Secretary of the Economy Fernando Canales will visit KMD Architects in San Francisco, Calif. Tuesday, June 10, 2003 to highlight successful U.S. private sector involvement in Mexico’s economic future. KMD, a large architectural firm, has operated a successful office in Mexico City since 1990 and has seen the benefits of investing in the Mexican economy. Evans and Canales will tour the facility, meet with KMD employees and hold a media availability.

Evans and Canales are fulfilling the commitments made by U.S. President George W. Bush and Mexican President Vicente Fox during their historic summit in September 2001, which called for the United States and Mexico to jointly sponsor a ‘Partnership for Prosperity’ Entrepreneurial Workshop.
