U.S. Commerce Secretary Evans to Discuss Trade and Technology During
West Coast Swing

U.S.
Commerce Secretary Don Evans will travel to New Mexico and California
the week of August 26th as part a nationwide tour to discuss the importance
of trade to our economy. He will begin his trip Monday, August 26th,
by hosting a town hall meeting in Albuquerque, N.M., with U.S. Rep.
Heather Wilson (N.M.-1). On Monday afternoon, Evans will visit a small
business in Huntington Beach, Calif., and will hold a town hall meeting
with minority business owners.
On
Tuesday, August 27th, Evans will host a Technology Town Hall Meeting
at Stanford University with technology industry leaders and entrepreneurs.
Also
on Tuesday, Secretary Evans will be awarding the Bush Administrations
largest Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant in a San Francisco
Bay Area ceremony.
