U.S. Commerce Secretary Don Evans to
Spotlight Trade Issues
Week of April 29-May 3

Washington, DC - Secretary Evans' calendar will carry the consistent theme of trade this week. Evans will personally meet with members of Congress and participate in a news conference focused on the pending TPA legislation. Evans will also attend the U.S.-EU Summit Meeting on Thursday. In accordance with President Bush's agenda, Secretary Don Evans has made the creation of free and fair trade a top priority for the Commerce Department.
