1997 AHS National Alterations, Additions and Repairs Revised

A second set of revised 1997 AHS Alterations, Additions and Repairs tables are now on this web site. A programming error was discovered that affected table 1 "Additions to Residential Structures" and table 5 "Maintenance, Repairs and Other Work" for all 4 chapters. The counts of the following jobs were too low: attached garage, porch, deck, carport, replaced finish flooring and other outside additions. In addition to affecting the count of specific jobs, the error also affected the "estimates of amount spent" tallies. Estimates for these tallies were also too low. The old tables excluded these jobs when they could not be subclassified as replacements or additions. The ommited cases were described as "both kinds of work", or type of work was not known or the responded refused to provide that detail.
