Defendory International, held every two years,  is one of the largest exhibitions and a recognized showcase for the defense and security sectors.  It is organized by the Institute of Industrial Exhibitions in cooperation with the Greek Ministry of National Defense. Defendory 2008 will take place October 7-11, 2008, at a new, more spacious location, the Hellenikon Exhibition Center (former Athens Airport).   

The 2006 exhibition was attended by approximately 440 exhibitors from 30 countries, and attracted 32,000 defense industry business visitors and government officials from 84 countries, including 51 foreign national military delegations from the Middle and Near East, Africa, Asia, Europe, and America.

The U.S. Pavilion at Defendory International is organized by Defendory International and the American Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and supported by the Foreign Commercial Service and the Office of Defense Cooperation of the U.S. Embassy in Athens. Participants in the U.S. Pavilion at Defendory 2006 included 45 U.S. defense and security corporations and their subsidiaries.  The U.S. Pavilion is the most popular visiting area of the exhibition, where visitors come to view high-quality American technology products, equipment and services. This year, CS Athens, in cooperation with the Aerospace and Security Teams, has proposed an Aerospace Trade Mission from the U.S.A. to coincide with Defendory 2008.
