The U.S. Census Bureau produced a special report, Mapping Census 2000: The Geography of U.S. Diversity. The maps depicted here are taken from this report. The report is a series of maps showing population density, race and Hispanic origin, racial and ethnic diversity, and other patterns and changes in the U.S. population. Most of the maps portray their subject by county as a percentage of the total population.
