Wyoming TSO Receives Eagle Eye Award

Press & Happenings

March 13, 2008 Supervisory TSO Daleen Anderson and TSO James Reiley

On assignment at Worland (Wyo.) Municipal Airport recently, Transportation Security Officer James Reiley of the National Deployment Force (NDF) discovered a loaded .38-caliber firearm in a passenger's carry-on bag.

Reiley, operating the X-ray machine, quickly notified Supervisory TSO Daleen Anderson. Law officers arrived and interviewed the passenger, who said the bag was her father's and she did not know about the gun. She was released and allowed to board the plane.

Reiley received an Eagle Eye Award and Anderson received a letter from Federal Security Director Reed L. Roberts for "performing in an exemplary manner."

NDF security officers can be deployed to any airport needing screening support. "The NDF is essential in supporting TSA operations at several of the airports in Wyoming," said Roberts. "The ability of talented NDF personnel like TSO Reiley to adapt and fit in with local operations certainly adds to our ability to meet our security mission."
