Biography

Peter Palanca

As vice president of operations for TASC, Inc. (Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities), Peter oversees TASC's service delivery to more than 30,000 clients annually across Illinois. TASC is not-for-profit organization that provides assessment and recovery management services for individuals with substance use disorders who are involved in criminal justice, juvenile justice, child welfare, and public aid systems.

Prior to joining TASC, Peter directed substance use treatment programs in both the public and private sectors. Most recently he served as the executive director of Hazelden Chicago, a provider of education and treatment services to adults and families affected by alcohol and drug disease. He holds a master's degree in counseling and psychological services from St. Mary's College in Winona, Minnesota.
