July 1, 2008 - September 30, 2008
The Roundtable's Community Service initiative is in its seventh year and has grown exponentially since its beginning in 2002. Last year’s Community Build Day included 450 activities, raised over $3.8 million, helped over 3,400 families, and included over 26,000 volunteers in all 50 states. 112 elected officials attended events across the country to show their support for the financial services industry’s contributions to the communities in which they work.
Community Service 2008 unites member companies' efforts to improve the communities in which they work, and strengthens partnerships with non-profit partners and public policymakers. The focus of Community Services 2008 will be on Financial Education, with increased visibility of financial education programs in communities. This is in addition to member companies’ community service activities via blood drives, building homes, sponsoring run/walks, etc. Every Roundtable member company has financial education projects; all we are asking from your company is to register these activities to be included under the Community Service 2008 umbrella.
