Do-It-Yourself Book Festival
Posted on: September 25th, 2007 by Matt Raymond
Its called the National Book Festival, so this year were doing something a little different to help make it even more truly national.
This year we have launched a Young Readers Toolkit on the NBF Web site. There we provide a whole set of tools to help you host your very own book festival in your school or community.
There is a hosting guidei.e., tips on what to consider; detailed information about authors with younger audiences and author podcasts; resources for educators; information to help inspire young people to be creative on their own; and a high-resolution image of the ever-popular NBF poster.
Are you planning a book festival? If so, let us know how it goes!

Good idea and well done. Especially the option “meet the authors” opens a way to get more information. I am from Germany and here we do not have such a festival, but also many opportunities to get access to knowledge. Thats why I support the plans from the big internet company “google” that the scan all books to make knowledge accessable to everyone, everywhere.

We try to motivate Thai kids to read more, will see if we can use the kit for new ideas and apply them in Thailand.
