A summary of the Second International Strategy Meeting on Human Genome Sequencing held in Bermuda on February 27-March 2, 1997, is on the Web (http://www.gene.ucl.ac.uk/hugo/bermuda2.htm). The summary includes principles endorsed by attendees on sequence quality, submission and annotation, and claims and etiquette. The next meeting is planned for the end of February 1998 in Bermuda.
