PDB Newsletter

Initiated in January of this year, PDB Newsletter is published quarterly by the Research Collaboratory for Structural Bioinformatics (RCSB), which operates the Protein Data Bank (http://www.rcsb.org/pdb/). The newsletter, available on the Web, highlights the RCSB system and its features as well as future plans, collaborations, and projects (http://www.rcsb.org/pdb/).

Human Polymorphism Database

HGBASE is a public database of human intragenic polymorphisms. It is designed to contain all types of sequence variations, especially SNPs, found in normal individuals (http://hgbase.interactiva.de). Because many of these polymorphisms are likely to influence phenotypes, HGBASE is expected to be useful in the design of association studies and similar analyses.
