Rex

RexHey there! My name is Rex. I am a Belgian Malinois, pronounced mal-in-waa. I was born and raised in the Netherlands. My first language is Dutch. I came to the United States and live in a beautiful home with my partner, K-9 Officer Dave. You see, I am what they call a dual purpose working dog. I perform very important duties for the CIA.

My main job is explosives detection. I check for explosives on vehicles and in buildings to make sure everyone safe and secure. I find explosives by sniffing for their odor. I show my partner that I found explosives when I sit. My partner Officer Dave praises me and rewards me with my favorite toy. It makes me very happy when I get it.

Along with detecting bombs, I have a patrol job. That means I help catch bad guys. The work is very serious. When I patrol, I track people and find objects. This job is really hard, but I exercise a lot to stay in shape. I am very proud when I am on patrol.

I do want to tell you to stay in school, study hard, and say “NO” to drugs.
