Elgin

ElginMy name is Elgin. I am a yellow Lab and I weigh 72 pounds. I was born Sept. 23, 2003. Before I came to the CIA, I was training to become a guide dog for the blind. I went to school at the Seeing Eye Foundation twice. But I had a bad habit of chasing squirrels, and it got the best of me. My energy worked to my advantage at the next place I went for training: the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. I joined the CIA in the summer of 2006.

After work, K-9 Officer Jim and I love to go home and relax. Sometimes I’ll steal socks out of the laundry basket to play with them. Exercise is important to me, so I’m always outside playing with the other K-9s or going on long walks. On the weekends, I look forward to sleeping in. But only until I feel like it’s time for everyone to wake up and play.
