Delayed Public Release of Weekly Natural Gas Storage Data

The Energy Information Administration (EIA) is aware that the Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report for the week ending August 10, scheduled for release between 10:30 and 10:40 AM Eastern Time today, was not available on the public EIA website during that time. Department of Energy and, consequently, EIA web sites experienced problems during that period and EIA then utilized alternate means of releasing the data. EIA is actively investigating this event and its causes. Once the matter is fully understood, EIA will make whatever changes in its systems or procedures that may be required to avoid a recurrence.
