2003: 50 Years of the Double Helix

The year 2003 marked two major milestones in genomics:

  • Completion of the sequencing of the human genome
  • 50th anniversary of the discovery of the DNA double helix

To mark these milestones, events took place around the world. Several retrospective articles and compilations were also written.
