ACCSH Public Meeting Scheduled for May 18-19 in Washington

WASHINGTON, DC -- The Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH) will hold an open meeting in Washington, DC on May 18-19, 2004.

ACCSH advises the assistant secretary on standards, polices and practices related to the protection of construction workers from worksite hazards.

The committee will meet from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Tues., May 18 and 8:30 a.m. - Noon on Wed., May 19 in room N-3437, A-C of the Department of Labor Building, 200 Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC. The ACCSH Tower Erection group will meet from 1-5 p.m. on Wed., May 19 in Room N-3437 A-C

Agenda items include: remarks by OSHA Administrator John Henshaw; proposed rulemaking on Hexavalent Chromium and Subpart V-Power Transmission and Distribution; and updates on the Hispanic Taskforce, standards, and partnerships and alliances.

Notice of the meeting is scheduled to appear in the April 26 Federal Register. Written comments to the committee may be submitted to Veneta Chatmon, OSHA, Office of Communications, Room N-3437, U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Ave., NW, Washington, D.C.
