WASHINGTON, DC -- The Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH) will hold an open meeting in Washington, DC on May 18-19, 2004. ACCSH advises the assistant secretary on standards, polices and practices related to the protection of construction workers from worksite hazards. The committee will meet from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Tues., May 18 and 8:30 a.m. - Noon on Wed., May 19 in room N-3437, A-C of the Department of Labor Building, 200 Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC. The ACCSH Tower Erection group will meet from 1-5 p.m. on Wed., May 19 in Room N-3437 A-C Agenda items include: remarks by OSHA Administrator John Henshaw; proposed rulemaking on Hexavalent Chromium and Subpart V-Power Transmission and Distribution; and updates on the Hispanic Taskforce, standards, and partnerships and alliances. Notice of the meeting is scheduled to appear in the April 26 Federal Register.
