Ceremony To Be Held August 18 in St. Louis, Mo. ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will recognize Solutia, Inc., J.F. Queeny Plant of St. Louis, Mo., for achieving eight years of excellence in worker health and safety. A ceremony at the plant on August 18 will renew the company's participation in OSHA's Star Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). "Solutia has exhibited excellence in effective safety and health management," said OSHA Regional Administrator Charles E. Adkins, CIH. "Their outstanding efforts have included significant management commitment and employee involvement." The Solutia, Inc., J.F. Queeny Plant was approved for OSHA's Star program in October 1995. The plant employs 73 workers who produce industrial organic chemicals. Information kits about the VPP application and approval process are available from the VPP Manager at the OSHA regional office in Kansas City, Mo., at (816) 426 5861.
