Hails and Farewells

We would like to welcome Steven Duaime to the office. He is our newest Electronics Technician.  Steven comes to us from the Air Force, where he was a meteorological technician, specializing in WSR-88D radar. 

We are also saying farewell to our Intern, Mark Bacon, who is on his way to be a forecaster at WFO Wilmington, North Carolina.    Mark has been at our office since August 2003, and we wish him the best of luck.


Upcoming Event

Aviation Conference

WFO Lake Charles, with the help of other offices in the state, is hosting the first annual Louisiana Aviation Weather Conference in Lafayette, LA on Wednesday, October 27th.  Speakers at the conference include the Aviation Weather Center, military personnel from Barksdale AFB, Flight Service personnel, and forecasters from around the state.   Both general and commercial aviation interests are welcome at the conference.
