JOPLIN, Mo. -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will recognize International Paper of Joplin, Mo., for achieving 10 years of excellence in worker safety and health. A ceremony will be held at the plant on Thursday, July 8, to renew the company's participation in OSHA's "Star" Voluntary Protection Program (VPP).

"Through its outstanding efforts to provide significant employee training and involvement, International Paper has exhibited excellence in effective safety and health management," said Kansas City OSHA Regional Administrator Charles E. Adkins, CIH.
