NACOSH Meeting Scheduled for November 28 in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC -- The National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health (NACOSH) will hold its public meeting Nov. 28, 2006, in Washington, D.C., the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announced today. The meeting notice is scheduled to be published in the Nov. 6, 2006, Federal Register.

NACOSH advises the secretaries of labor and health and human services on occupational safety and health programs. Members of the 12-person advisory committee are chosen on the basis of their knowledge and experience in occupational safety and health.

The meeting will be held from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. in Room N3437 (A, B and C) of the Department of Labor Frances Perkins Building, 200 Constitution Ave., NW, Washington, D.C., 20210.

Agenda items include updates on activities of both the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). Presentations will be made on the following:


  • National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA);
  • Updates on OSHA’s enforcement and cooperative programs, and standards/regulations; and
  • Update on the Cranes and Derricks Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act (SBREFA) Panel Report.
