Tours and Speakers Bureau
In Atlanta, we offer guided tours of our Visitors Center and Monetary Museum to prescheduled groups. On a limited basis, branch offices also offer tours to selected groups. And we operate speakers bureaus to provide knowledgeable Fed speakers, based on availability, to educational, civic, and financial organizations. For more details, visit the appropriate location: Atlanta / Birmingham / Jacksonville / Miami / Nashville / New Orleans

Teacher Workshops
We conduct teacher workshops in Atlanta and select branch offices throughout the year, helping teachers gain a deeper understanding of the Federal Reserve System's role in the economy so they can better teach their students. For more information, contact Sarah Dougherty, economic education specialist, at sarah.e.dougherty@atl.frb.org.

Education Resources
Extra Credit, an online economic and financial education newsletter, is designed for classroom teachers in middle and high school. Published twice a year, Extra Credit provides informative articles, lesson plans and activities, teaching tips, and a calendar of teacher workshops and events sponsored by the Atlanta Fed or its education partners. To receive e-mail notification when new issues of Extra Credit are posted online, please fill out the form.

Katrina's Classroom: Financial Lessons from a Hurricane is a free DVD-based curriculum designed to teach middle school and high school students and their parents the importance of being financially prepared. The curriculum focuses on financial responsibilities such as budgeting, banking, savings, and wise use of credit. The videos, an English/Spanish transcript, and lesson plans can be downloaded or ordered as a DVD/CD set.

Community Partnerships
Through partnerships with schools in adopt-a-school programs and with other organizations such as Junior Achievement and the National Council on Economic Education, we support established programs that help students learn about the Federal Reserve System and the economy.
