NONPROFITS & GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

The Points of Light Foundation helps national and local nonprofit and government agencies to apply new and emerging knowledge about trends and practices in volunteer program management to build the capacity of organizations to effectively engage volunteers in helping solve serious social issues.

The Foundation also works at the national level to:

  • advocate for volunteer involvement in community problem solving
  • encourage partnerships and peer-to-peer networks to enhance knowledge sharing around volunteer management
  • provide information about trends and strategies that affect the volunteer community

Many useful publications, tip sheets, samples and tool kits created by the Foundation are available for free to volunteer managers from our Resources section, and through the VolunteerResource.org volunteer library.
