During the Sonny Side of Sports show for October 6, 2008, we'll take a look back at Sunday's semifinal action in the African Champions League football competition.  Al Ahly of Egypt and Cotonsport of Cameroon both look in good position to advance to the final.  Five-time champion Al Ahly traveled to Nigeria and held Enyimba Football Club, a two-time winner, to a 0-0 draw.  And Cotonsport traveled to Zimbabwe and beat host Dynamos, 1-0, in Harare, on a goal by Niger international Kamilou Daouda.  It was Daouda's sixth goal of the African Champions League campaign.

Also on Monday's program, reporter Kwabena "Quicksilver" Ofori talks with Emmanuel Afranie, the former head coach of Ghana's national football team, "The Black Stars."  Ghana will host Lesotho in one of the upcoming World Cup-Nations Cup qualifiers in Africa, and "The Black Stars" need to win in convincing fashion to assure their passage to the next phase.

In addition, our boxing analyst Nnamdi "Hollywood" Moweta fires a few verbal jabs about recent bouts involving Kassim "The Dream" Ouma of Uganda and Alex "The Technician" Bunema of the Democratic Republic of Congo.  Bunema was battered and beaten decisively by Argentina's Sergio Martinez for the interim WBC super welterweight championship.  Ouma fared better, ending a three-fight losing streak with a victory over Martinus Clay.
