OSHA Training Institute (OTI) Course Prerequisites

Prerequisites for individual courses, where applicable, are included in the course description. Additional training requirements apply to the following employees: OSHA Federal and State Compliance Officers Follow the basic training program for new hires as directed by your supervisor Non-OSHA Federal Employees Course 6000: Collateral Duty Course for Other Federal Agencies, or Course 6010: Occupational Safety and Health Course for Other Federal Agencies, or Demonstrate equivalent knowledge of the OSH Act, procedures, and standards. Private Sector and Other Non-Federal Government Employees Course 510: Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry, or Course 511: Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry, or Demonstrate equivalent knowledge of the OSH Act, procedures, and standards.
