As part of the Administration’s efforts to have 70 percent of Hawai‘i’s energy come from clean renewable sources by 2030, Governor Lingle announces the appointment of the state’s first energy facilitator, whose responsibilities will include creating a streamlined permitting process for renewable energy projects. The Governor also announces an effort by the Hawai‘i Public Housing Authority to increase energy efficiency at public housing facilities statewide.
