The meeting on September 9 was excellent and we heard from CAPT Gerard O'Reagan, Commander, Navy Munitions Command, and he was introduced by Dr. Frances Holt, Executive Director, Navy Munitions Command. In addition to describing the new Navy Munitions Command, CAPT O'Reagan gave an fascinating history of the Naval Weapons Station in York County.

To attend Langley Alumni Association (LAA) meetings, Langley retirees can obtain a one-day visitor badge at the NASA Langley Badge and Pass Office. Please bring two forms of government-issued identification. Six-month badges are available to LAA members. For a six-month badge, fill out a NASA form 1760. The form is available from the NASA liaison to the LAA at the monthly meetings. Please allow two weeks to process six-month badges.

Next LAA Meeting

The next meeting of the LAA takes place on October 14, and Gary Price, LAA VP and Program Chair is trying to get a presentation on the recent launch failure at Wallops Island. The meeting will begin at 11:30 am in the NACA Room in the Langley cafeteria. Please come and bring some friends.

Since the NACA Room in the cafeteria will be undergoing a redo in November we will be looking for another location and Gary Price is looking for one off site. We will keep you posted.
