Family History Sources leaflets now available (free) for New York City, NY, Pittsfield, MA, and Boston, MA, regional archives
What: The National Archives offers a new series of General Information Leaflets (GILs) for its regional archives. The first three leaflets describe family history resources at the three archival research facilities in NARA's Northeast Region:
New York City (GIL 76),
Pittsfield, MA (GIL 77), and
Boston, MA (GIL 78). The leaflets contain information on the records and microfilm each facility has for genealogy research, including Census, naturalization, passenger arrival, customs, and military service and pension records. They also provide an overview of each facility including contact information, hours of operation, and directions.
