Licenses and Permits for People with DisabilitiesWisconsin law provides for a variety of hunting, fishing and recreational use permits designed to help people with disabilities enjoy the state's natural resources. Qualifications and Application Procedures for Fishing LicensesWisconsin residents with disabilities are eligible for a discount on their annual fishing license fees if, as a result of disability, they receive Social Security Disability, Supplemental Security Income, Railroad Retirement benefits, or Veteran's disability compensation for a service related disability of 70% or more. The fishing license must be renewed annually, and does not exempt the holder from the need to purchase required fishing stamps. The discounted Resident Annual Disabled Fishing and Veterans Disabled Fishing Licenses are available at any license sales location. You are required to present evidence that you are receiving benefits as the result of a disability or have been determined to be legally blind.
