BREAKING NEWS: Senate Passes ADA Legislation
The Senate unanimously passed the ADA Amendments Act late Thursday, with the support of 77 original cosponsors. "This is a major victory for people with epilepsy who have seen their protections under the ADA disappear over the last decade," said Eric Hargis, Epilepsy Foundation president and ceo. "We salute the Congressional leaders who helped to make this historic legislation possible."

A multi-state study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has found that about one out of 100 adults have active epilepsy, and more than one-third are not getting sufficient treatment. The study collected data from more than 120,000 adults 18 and older. Read more »
