In 2003, the USGS resurveyed land-surface altitudes at selected wells in Yucca Flat. Direct comparison between USGS 2003 and other survey results is difficult because the exact location of previously surveyed control points is unknown. Differences between land-surface altitudes given in the table below could be the result of (1) different survey locations, (2) a change in land surface caused by local subsidence, (3) survey errors, or (4) some combination thereof.
