Not sure what the numbers mean above?  To help you decode the data, match the red numbers above with the descriptions below...
01. Minimum/Maximum Temperatures every twelve (12) hours
02. Temperatures every three (3) hours
03. Dewpoints every three (3) hours
04. Relative Humidity every three (3) hours
Note: This is calculated using temperature and dewpoint data. The closer the temperature and dewpoint are to each other, the higher the relative humidity. To see how this works, calculate relative humidity using the meteorological calculator by clicking here.
05. Wind Direction every three (3) hours
Note: The wind is FROM the direction indicated. For example, "SW" means the wind is FROM the southwest.
06. Wind Speed every three (3) hours
Note: Speed is in mph. If the speed is "00", the wind is calm.
07. Sky Conditions every three (3) hours
Note: "CL" means the sky is clear, "FW" means the sky is mostly clear with only a few clouds, "SC" means scattered clouds or partly cloudy, "BK" means broken clouds or mostly cloudy and "OV" means overcast or cloudy.
08. Probability of Precipitation every twelve (12) hours (in %)
09. Amount of Precipitation every twelve (12) hours (in %)
10. Amount of Snow every twelve (12) hours
Note: This is expressed in a range (such as "2-4") or as a single number (such as "3"), with the amounts in inches. "T" would represent a trace of snow. "00-00" means that no snow is expected.
11/12. Type/Likelihood of Precipitation every three (3) hours
Note: Various precipitation types may be expressed such as RAIN (Rain), RAIN SHWRS (Rain Showers), TSTMS (Thunderstorms), DRIZZLE (Drizzle), SNOW (Snow), SNOW SHWRS (Snow Showers), SLEET (Ice Pellets), FRZNG RAIN (Freezing Rain), and FRZNG DRZL (Freezing Drizzle). Likelihood of these types occurring is represented by "S" or "IS" for "slight chance" or "isolated" (10-20%), "C" or "SC" for "chance" or "scattered" (30-50%), "L" or "NM" for "likely" or "numerous" (60-70%), and "O" or "D" for "occasional" and "definite" respectively (80-100%).
13. Heat Index every three (3) hours
Note: This is calculated using temperature and relative humidity data and expressed in degrees Fahrenheit. Values below 80 degrees will not be shown. In Winter, this parameter will be replaced by Wind Chill, which is calculated using temperature and wind speed data (also expressed in degrees Fahrenheit). To calculate Heat Index and Wind Chill, try the meteorological calculator by clicking here.
14. Obstruction to Visibility
Note: "F" is fog, "PF" is patchy fog, "F+" is dense fog, "PF+" is patchy dense fog, "H" is haze, "BS" is blowing snow, "K" is smoke, and "BD" is blowing dust.
15. Minimum/Maximum Temperatures every twelve (12) hours
16. Temperatures every six (6) hours
17. Dewpoints every six (6) hours
18. Wind Direction every twelve (12) hours
19. Wind Character every twelve (12) hours
Note: May be expressed as LT (light or less than 8 mph), GN (gentle or 8 to 14 mph), BZ (breezy or 15-22 mph), WY (windy or 23-30 mph), VW (very windy or 31-39 mph) or SD (strong/damaging or 40 mph).
20. Sky Conditions every six (6) hours (see notes from number 07)
21. Probability of Precipitation every twelve (12) hours (in %)
22/23. Type/Likelihood of Precipitation every six (6) hours (see notes from numbers 11/12)
