Auburn Sustainability
Initiative
A $15,000 grant from CSREES has enabled
Auburn University to conduct a seminar series
linked to the planning and implementation
of a campus-wide sustainability initiative.
The Auburn
Sustainability Initiative includes a
recycling program, a new interdisciplinary
freshman course, and a War on Hunger Student
Campaign in partnership with the United Nations
World Food Programme.
Funding for this effort came from four CSREES
units: Natural Resources and Environment;
Families, 4-H, and Nutrition; Plant and Animal
Systems; and Economic and Community Systems.
